- Add player names using the quick input or click the presets (5v5, 4v4, 3v3) for instant roster sizes.
- Choose the desired number of teams (from 2 up to 8 teams).
- Select Draft Method: 'Skill Balanced' for competitive fairness or 'Pure Random' for casual lobbies.
- Adjust individual player skill ratings (1 to 10 stars) to reflect their in-game rank.
- Click Reshuffle Teams to generate new squads and Copy for Discord to paste results into your channel.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Skill-Balanced team partition algorithm work?
The algorithm sorts players by their assigned skill rating (1-10 stars) and uses a greedy multi-way number partitioning heuristic. Players are allocated to teams such that total and average team skill ratings are as close to equal as mathematically possible, displaying a Match Fairness percentage.
Can I paste a whole list of player names at once?
Yes. Click 'Paste bulk list of player names' and paste your roster (either one name per line or separated by commas). The randomizer automatically populates your active player roster.
How does Captain designation work?
When 'Assign Team Captain' is checked, the highest-rated player on each team (or the first drafted player in random mode) receives the ๐ Team Captain badge and is highlighted in the Discord export.
What game formats are supported?
You can randomize 5v5 matches (Valorant, CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2), 4v4 matches (Warzone Quads, Halo), 3v3 matches (Apex Trios, Rocket League), 2v2 Duos, or custom numbers of players across up to 8 teams.
Are player names or ratings stored online?
No. Everything runs entirely in your local browser session. No names, accounts, or rosters are ever uploaded to any database.
