How to use the Qibla Compass
- Tap “Use my location” and allow location access.
- Tap “Enable device compass” and follow your browser’s permission prompt.
- Hold your phone horizontally. The green arrow points toward the Qibla when the compass sensor is available.
Your privacy
Location is requested only after you tap the button. Coordinates are used in your browser to calculate the Qibla direction; this tool does not send them to our server.
The angle is calculated clockwise from true north. Many phone sensors report magnetic rather than true north, so the on-screen arrow is approximate and can vary with the device and local magnetic conditions.
For a better reading, keep the phone flat, move away from magnets and speakers, and calibrate the compass if your device requests it.
This tool provides a calculated bearing and an approximate device-compass indicator. For religious practice, verify the direction locally if your device sensor is unreliable.
